Layne Jewelry. Hello, thank you for coming to my web site. I have been designing jewelry since I was a little girl. I used my dads fishing string and clasps from old jewelry I could find. I became more serious about jewelry making in 2002 and finding buyers for my designs. I had been praying to the Lord that year and was asking for new ways to make extra money. Then, one Sunday morning the pastor of my church was giving us a teaching on heaven. He used the illustration in Revelations 21 about the New Jerusalem coming out of the clouds, and how the streets are made of gold and the gates are made from a giant pearl. As my pastor named all of the stones that were in the walls of the city, I quickly jotted down a note so that I wouldn't forget the idea that was forming in my head. I was beginning to envision a picture of jewelry designed from these precious stones! It wasn't hard to come up with a name: THE HOPE OF THE NEW JERUSALEM. For years I have been flipping to the same chapter, Revelations 21, just to read it to friends or to remind myself of what heaven will be like. It has and always will be an easy topic to discuss with other believers and even those that don't already know our Father in heaven. It is a non threatening verse full of mystery, excitement, and especially HOPE. This is the full reason why I created this unique and fascinating piece of jewelry. I want it to be a constant reminder to the wearer and to those that it is shared with that Jesus is coming soon and has been preparing a beautiful place for us.
