Salvation
and Rewards We believe that we are saved solely by grace, through faith in the blood sacrifice, death, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We believe that reward is designed for the saved; that salvation is the believer's present possession while reeward is set forth as a future attainment. We believe that the believer's standing in Christ is perfect and eternally changeless but that his state during his earthly life is subject to fluctuation. (John 5:24; 10:27-29; Rom 8:35-39; 10:9, 10; 1 Cor 3:8-16; Eph 2:8-10; 1 Pet 1:18-19; 1 John 1:6; 2:2; Rev 22:12) The Church We believe that all in this dispensation, who have accepted Christ as Savior, are members of the church, the body of Christ. Christ is the head, we are members of his body, the church. We believe that the establishment and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures. We believe that every Christian should settle down in a local church for fellowship and privilege of service. (Acts 14:27; 20: 17, 28, 32; 1 Tim 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11) to top Two Natures We believe that every saved person possesses two natures, with provision made for victory of the new nature over the old nature through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. (Rom 6:13; 8:12-13; Gal 5:16-25; Eph 4:22-24; Col 3:10; 1 Pet 1:14-16; 1 John 3:5-9) to top Separation We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord; and that separation from all religious apostasy, all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices and associations is commanded of God (Rom 12:1-2; 14:12; 2 Cor 6:14; 7:1; 2 Tim 3:1-5; 1 John 2:1-17) to top |
