Our company works with the KS D.O.T to provide Wireless Internet access and digital advertising opportunities at rest-areas in Kansas. This creates an extremely cost-effective way to make your area, and members standout to travelers who are right down the road from you, and will be passing through your region. The rest-areas on I-35 and I-70 would be ideal for you to run advertising on Interactive kiosks, big screen video monitors and Wireless Internet re-direct screens to travelers who are “right down the road” and are at the point where they are making decisions about where to stay, eat, shop or visit. If you are interested, I would like to schedule a time to visit with you via phone in the next few days to discuss this in greater detail. I can also share my computer screen with you over the Internet to show some sample ads. As an FYI- we also have a “Community Kiosk Information” program that has been very successful with CVBs, which entails the placing of kiosks in strategic locations throughout your area. This would allow you to target travelers who are already in the area. Can you please reply at your earliest convenience to let me know when you would be available to visit for 30 minutes? Please also feel free to reply or call me with any questions you may have. I will contact you in a couple of days if I don’t hear from you in the meantime. Have a great day.
Hello, I am teaching Kansas History for the 1st time to 7th grade students in Wichita, KS. I was wondering if you had any resources that might be helpful to my students. Any materials or suggestions would be welcome. I have approximately 150 students but I can sometimes use a class set of materials for 30 students to share. Thank you, Kristy Duggan Mead Middle School 2601 E. Skinner Wichita, KS 67211 (316) 733-0068
Hello I would like to share with you a link. My site: http://projectlon.biz Email: alexnatter@gmail.com
Planning a string of celebrations along the Chisholm and Great Western Trails to help urge people to call their U.S. Senator and Rep. to ask that they be approved as National Historic Trails. Need your help to contact local groups and news media to help let them know that these celebrations are for National Historic Trail status and the resulting Federal Grants for county and cities on those Trails.
My wife and I are retired and live in Australia. We engage in Single Action shooting, hence the alias of Capt JC Jackson. I am interested in the 4 day cattle town tour but for a full holiday to USA would like to include other tours such as - Civil War (especially Confederate/ Bedford Forrest), Paddle Wheel cruise, Restored Wild West towns, etc. Please no horse rides and I suffer from vertigo so no hiking or mountain adventures. Even a reliable travel agent that could help would be appreciated. Regards - Ted Williams
CONGRATULATIONS-BEST CHANCE TO ********************************* ATTRACT TOURIST FROM AROUND THE WORLD. ************************************ THE NATIONAL PARKS WILL TAKE NEXT 3 YRS. CONDUCTING DETAIL STUDY OF HISTORY, LAND, COST FOR PROPOSAL COMPLETION AT THE END OF 3RD YR FOR CONGRESS TO DECIDE. According to our Sen. Cornyn's Historic Trail specialist, we have a great chance it will go through but to ensure the chances you need to maintain contact with your U.S. Sen. and Rep.( touch base every 6 months) to be sure they know you are REALLY NEEDING THIS HIST. TRAIL APPROVED AND HAVE A CREW OF PEOPLE READY TO STARTING EDUCATING THE PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD OF KANSAS MOST INTERESTING CHAPTER IN AMERICAN HISTORY. I WOULD ALSO LET THEM KNOW IF YOU HAVE STARTED ANY KIND OF GRASS ROOT PROGRAMS FOR THE SCHOOL KIDS AS HAVING SPEAKERS FROM HISTORIC SOCIETY TO GIVE SHORT TALKS FOR HISTORY CLASSES AND OR HAVE YOUTH PROGRAMS AS 4H, FFA, BOY & GIRL SCOUTS DEVELOP IF NOT ALREADY IN PLACE, A SPECIAL BADGE. FIND SOME ONE WITH SOME EXPERIENCE WITH YOUTH PROGRAMS WILL BE A PLUS BUT NOT TOTALLY REQUIRED. GIRL SCOUTS CAN ESTABLISH A BADGE AT LOCAL COUNCIL AND BOY SCOUTS HAVE A HISTORIC TRAILS AWARD TO GUIDE THEM AS THEY DELVE INTO THE HISTORY-MAKING MAPS, LEARNING THE WAY THE COOKS USED THE DUTCH OVEN AND HAVE THEM ACTUALLY COOK A TRADITIONAL CHUCK WAGON MEAL BY COOKING A MEAL, DISCOVER THE FACTS OF WHAT NATIONALITY OF COWBOYS, AND GENDER OF THE COWBOYS. WHAT WERE THE DIFFERENT POSITIONS OR JOBS FOR THE CATTLE DRIVES AND WHAT DID THEY DO. HOW LONG WERE THE DRIVES AND WHAT WERE THE CONSIDERATIONS FOR HOW LONG TO TRAVEL A DAY AND WHERE DID THEY STOP AND WHY. HOW DID THEY MANAGE THE HERD AFTER DARK? WHAT THEY WERE PAID AND WHAT COWS WERE WORTH AT THEIR ORIGIN COMPARED WHAT PAID AT THE RAILHEAD AND WHY THE ONES SOLD TO INDIAN RESERVATIONS. WHY WERE THEY TRAILED TO THE RAIL HEAD AND WHY WASN'T RAIL HEADS CLOSER TO WHERE THEY STARTED? I KNOW YOU WILL FIND SOME PERSON MAYBE IN THE HISTORIC SOCIETY WHO WOULD NOT MIND FINDING SEVERAL OTHERS WHO WOULD GIVE THE TALKS- TALK SHOULD ONLY NEED ABOUT 15 MIN. TO COVER THE BASICS AND MENTIONING THE HARZARDS OF FLOODED RIVERS AND STREAMS-HOW THEY MOVED THE SCARED COWS ACROSS AND WHAT WAS DONE WHEN THE HERD STAMPEDED-WHAT STARTED THE STAMPEDE? SINCE YOU ARE AT THE END OF THE TRAIL MIGHT HAVE THEM EXPLAIN WHAT THE COWBOYS DID AFTER THEY GOT PAID. HOW DID THAT HELP TO BRING MORE BUSINESSES TO KANSAS CITY? THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO BOOST STATE AND NATIONAL PRIDE BY HAVING THE YOUTH LEARN THESE DETAILS AND IT WILL SURPRISE YOU HOW PARENTS PICK UP MORE THAN YOU CAN BELIEVE. IN SHORT THIS WILL DO MORE TO SOLIDIFY YOUR CITIZENS AS TO THE IMPORTANCE OF THEIR HERITAGE- YOU WILL BE SHOCKED. IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO FIND SOMEONE I SUGGEST YOU LET ME KNOW IF YOU CAN'T FIND A HISTORIC SOCIETY THAT CAN HELP YOU. SINCE THIS BILL PASSED 3 1/2 MONTHS AHEAD OF THE NORMAL THE INTEREST IS HIGH. YOU MIGHT CHECK ONE OF THE EXISTING NATIONAL HISTORIC TRAILS ON NATIONAL PARKS WEB SITE-IT SHOULD BRING IN SEVERAL THOUSAND TOURIST ONCE WE GET THE FINAL APPROVAL. EDUCATING THE KIDS/PARENTS WILL ALSO ************************************ HELP TO GIVE MORE PUSH TO CONGRESS ********************************* WHEN APPROVAL COMES UP IN 3 YRS. ******************************** BY THE WAY THE 3 YR. FOR THE STUDY IS REQUIRED BY LAW- DON'T LET ANYONE WHO WANTS TO PUT PRESSURE ON THE PARKS OR CONGRESS TO SPEED THIS UP WILL ONLY RESULT IN THE TRAILS BEING BLACK BALLED WITHOUT ANY OTHER CHANCE TO APPLY. SINCE THIS HAS BEEN WAITING FOR 31 ********************************** YRS-WE CAN'T AFFORD TO HAVE THAT HAPPEN. ************************************ See: www.texaslakestrail.com/home /index.asp?page=964 and www.star-telegram.com/275/storyin82249.html for more information. Please let me know if you have any trouble finding the WHO WILL BE MAKING HISTORY BY HELPING TO EDUCATE THE PEOPLE AS THIS WILL HELP TO PRESERVE THE TRAIL FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS TO ENJOY. DON'T FAIL TO LET ME KNOW IF I CAN HELP IN ANY WAY- YOUR CITY, STATE AND THOUSANDS OF KANSAS FAMILIES ARE DEPENDING ON YOU TO MAKE THIS BECOME A MAJOR AVENUE TO STIMULATE KANSAS WESTERN HERITAGE AS WELL AS GIVE A BETTER MEANING TO THEIR LIVES TODAY.
